Willie Colón & Héctor Lavoe | Crime Pays | Vinyl

Crime Pays gathers tough-guy classics from Willie Colón and Héctor Lavoe's early Fania years, including “Che Che Colé,” “Guisando,” and “El Titán.” Colón's brash trombone section and Lavoe's charismatic, improvisational vocals mix hard-driving salsa with Puerto Rican and Cuban roots rhythms, capturing the raw sound that defined 1970s New York salsa. A great entry point for anyone building a Fania collection.
