Released independently on the band’s own Stoopid Records, Everyday Life, Everyday People features a dozen tracks stacked with guest appearances from reggae legends Don Carlos, Yellowman, and Ali Campbell of UB40, alongside Alborosie, Chali 2na of Jurassic 5, and G. Love. The album leans into Slightly Stoopid’s signature fusion of reggae, dub, and West Coast rock, with the title track and a cover of Sly and the Family Stone’s ‘Everyday People’ (featuring G. Love) closing the record. Pressed as a double 45 RPM LP, the release showcased the San Diego band’s two-decades-deep pull within the reggae-rock scene. It continued Slightly Stoopid’s run as one of the genre’s most durable independent touring and recording acts.
