Released January 28, 2022 on Cobb’s own Ol’ Buddy Records, And Now, Let’s Turn to Page… was inspired by a serious car accident on a rural Georgia road that Cobb credits with prompting the long-held ambition to record a gospel album. Produced by Dave Cobb at RCA Studio A in Nashville, the nine-song set favors spare, live-in-the-room arrangements of traditional hymns Cobb grew up singing in rural Georgia churches, including “Just a Closer Walk with Thee,” “In the Garden,” and “The Old Rugged Cross.” The album marked a departure from Cobb’s country-soul studio albums, framed by critics as both a tribute to his upbringing and a meditation on faith and mortality following his accident. At under 29 minutes, the record has the feel of a Sunday morning church service captured live to tape.
