Metiendo Mano! paired Willie Colón's adventurous arrangements with the sharp, story-driven songwriting of a young Rubén Blades. Songs like “Pablo Pueblo” introduced the socially conscious 'salsa consciente' that would reach its peak on Siembra the following year. A crucial Fania record, reissued by Craft Recordings on 180g vinyl.
