Sky Blue Sky is Wilco's 2007 sixth album, a warmer, more traditional roots-rock record following the more experimental, noise-inflected Yankee Hotel Foxtrot and A Ghost Is Born that preceded it. Jeff Tweedy's songwriting on “Impossible Germany” and “You Are My Face” leaned into classic rock guitar interplay, showcasing new guitarist Nels Cline's considerable technical range. It's widely regarded as a deliberate return to more accessible, melodically direct songwriting after a period of significant sonic experimentation for the band.
