Recorded at Circle House Studios in Miami and Steakhouse Studios in Burbank with engineer Errol Brown, known for his work with Bob Marley, Count Me In became the best-selling reggae album of 2014 and debuted at #14 on the Billboard 200. The record features guest turns from dancehall artist Collie Buddz on ‘Hate to Be the One’ and roots veteran Don Carlos on ‘Roots Reggae Music,’ bridging Rebelution’s California reggae sound with deeper Jamaican roots influences. Released via Easy Star/Round Hill/Concord, the album further cemented the band’s status as one of the genre’s biggest contemporary draws in the US. Tracks like the title cut and ‘Against the Grain’ remain staples of the band’s live sets.
