Legacy of Brutality (1985) is a Misfits compilation of previously unreleased material, overdubbed with new guitar and bass parts and curated entirely by Glenn Danzig after the band's original 1983 breakup. As the first new Misfits material to surface following the split, the release helped fuel the growing cult interest in the band during the mid-1980s, well before their wider influence on punk and metal became fully recognized. It later formed part of the source material for the Collection compilations that introduced the Misfits to a broader audience.
