Welcome to Sky Valley is Kyuss's 1994 third album, a foundational record of the stoner rock genre, built on heavy, downtuned riffs and expansive, jam-influenced arrangements recorded in California's Mojave Desert. Josh Homme's guitar work, later carried into his subsequent band Queens of the Stone Age, established the desert-rock sound this record is widely credited with defining. It's widely regarded as one of the most influential albums in stoner and desert rock, a foundational text for the genre's heavy, hypnotic aesthetic.
