ZABA is Glass Animals' 2014 debut album, a lush, hazy blend of tropical psychedelic pop and R&B textures produced with Paul Epworth, built around loose, jungle-inspired imagery throughout the lyrics and artwork. Tracks like “Gooey” and “Black Mambo” showcase frontman Dave Bayley's falsetto floating over dense, percussive production that drew comparisons to Animal Collective and James Blake. The record established the band's distinctive atmospheric sound, laying the groundwork for the mainstream breakthrough that would follow with later albums.
