Released June 4, 1996 on RCA’s PMP Records imprint, Delinquent Habits introduced the Los Angeles trio of Ives, Kemo the Blaxican, and DJ OG Style, whose bilingual raps and mariachi-brass-flecked production set them apart on the mid-’90s West Coast hip-hop scene. The album was produced almost entirely by Alejandro “O.G. Style” Martinez, with one track handled by Cypress Hill’s Eric Bobo, and features guest turns from Cypress Hill’s Sen Dog and Hurricane G. Lead single “Tres Delinquentes” became the group’s breakout hit, climbing to number 35 on the Billboard Hot 100 and number 10 on Hot Rap Songs, with follow-up single “Lower Eastside” also charting on the rap charts. The album itself reached number 74 on the Billboard 200 and number 31 on Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums, cementing Delinquent Habits as one of the era’s notable Latino hip-hop acts. This reissue presents the fourteen-track album across a 2LP set pressed on limited transparent gold 180-gram vinyl.
