Odelay is Beck's 1996 third album, a genre-splicing mix of hip-hop, folk, and alternative rock made with production duo the Dust Brothers, following his surprise novelty hit “Loser.” Tracks like “Where It's At” and “Devils Haircut” showed Beck's sample-heavy, magpie approach to songwriting could sustain a full, cohesive album rather than a single fluke hit. The record won two Grammy Awards, including Best Alternative Music Album, and remains widely considered his creative peak.
