Beatles | Help | Vinyl

Help! is the Beatles' 1965 fifth album and soundtrack to their second film, a comedy caper that gave the record its title and several accompanying songs. “Yesterday,” recorded by Paul McCartney alone with a string quartet, marked a striking departure from the band's earlier group sound and has since become the most covered song in popular music history. The album captures the band mid-transition from pop idols toward the more serious, studio-driven artistry that would define their later career.
