Back to Black is Amy Winehouse's 2006 breakthrough, produced with Mark Ronson and Salaam Remi around a 1960s girl-group and Motown sound, complete with horn arrangements and live analog instrumentation. The album swept five Grammy Awards in 2008, including Record and Song of the Year for “Rehab,” and its confessional lyrics about heartbreak and addiction gave it a lasting emotional weight. It remains one of the best-selling albums in UK chart history and a defining record of 2000s soul revival.
