More Songs About Buildings and Food is Talking Heads' 1978 second album, made with producer Brian Eno for the first time in a partnership that would fundamentally shape the band's sound over their next several records. Their cover of Al Green's “Take Me to the River” became the band's first hit single, giving David Byrne's angular, anxious songwriting an unexpectedly soulful and accessible entry point. The album marked the beginning of the fruitful Eno collaboration that would culminate in the more ambitious Fear of Music and Remain in Light.
