Sufjan Stevens | Michigan | Vinyl

Michigan introduced the concept that made Sufjan Stevens famous: an album devoted to a single state. Banjo, piano, horns, and choir weave through songs about Detroit, Flint, and the Upper Peninsula, blending personal stories with regional history. A gentle, ambitious record that set the stage for Illinois.
