Smiths | Hatful of Hollow | Vinyl

Hatful of Hollow is a 1984 Smiths compilation gathering BBC Radio 1 session recordings for John Peel and David Jensen alongside early singles like “Hand in Glove” and “Heaven Knows I'm Miserable Now.” Released just months after their self-titled debut, it captures Johnny Marr's jangling guitar work and Morrissey's lyrics in a rawer, more immediate setting than the studio versions. Many fans and critics regard it as an essential Smiths listen, arguably rivaling their proper albums.
