Lana Del Rey | Ultraviolence | Vinyl

Ultraviolence is Lana Del Rey's 2014 second major-label album, a darker, guitar-driven turn toward '60s girl-group melancholy and noir rock, produced largely by Dan Auerbach of the Black Keys. The record's slower tempos and live-band instrumentation gave it a more atmospheric, brooding quality than the trip-hop-inflected Born to Die. It debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200, further cementing Del Rey's cinematic, doomed-romance aesthetic as one of the decade's most influential in alternative pop.
