Year of the Snitch is Death Grips' 2018 seventh studio album, a chaotic, guest-heavy record that leans further into the band's noise-rock and industrial influences than their earlier, more straightforward hip-hop-adjacent releases. MC Ride's confrontational, often unintelligible vocal delivery remains the group's defining constant even as the instrumental backdrop grows increasingly unpredictable and abrasive. The album continues Death Grips' uncompromising, self-directed approach to music-making, a career built almost entirely outside conventional industry expectations.
