In Session documents a legendary December 6, 1983 meeting between blues elder statesman Albert King and rising star Stevie Ray Vaughan, taped for Canadian television at CHCH-TV studios in Hamilton, Ontario. King, initially reluctant, agreed once he realized Vaughan was the young Texas guitarist he'd once let sit in with his band years earlier. The set pairs King's “Call It Stormy Monday” and “Blues at Sunrise” with Vaughan's “Pride and Joy,” with the two trading licks, stories, and mutual respect throughout. Shelved for over a decade, the performance was finally issued as an album in 1999, produced by Bill Belmont, and stands as one of the most celebrated guitar-duel documents in blues history.
