Air | Moon Safari | Vinyl

Moon Safari is Air's 1998 debut album, a lush, retro-futuristic blend of French electronic music, easy-listening influences, and vintage synthesizer textures that evoked 1970s space-age soundtracks. “Sexy Boy” and “La Femme d'Argent” showcase the Parisian duo's warm, melodic production style, distinct from the more aggressive French house sound of contemporaries like Daft Punk. It's widely credited with helping define the downtempo and chillwave-adjacent sound that would prove influential across the following decades.
