Our Commitment to Sustainability
We use source PLA from manufacturers who actively pursue sustainability, including initiatives such as reusable spools to reduce plastic waste, recycled filament programs that reclaim industrial material, and tree‑planting partnerships to offset production impact. By focusing on suppliers who publicly share their sustainability actions, we ensure our materials align with our own commitment to responsible production.
We keep our footprint small. Every order ships in recyclable, biodegradable corrugated cardboard, and we reuse every clean, structurally sound box that comes into our shop. We also reuse or recycle our empty filament spools, keeping them out of landfills and reducing waste generated during production. These simple, practical steps help us minimize impact while keeping packaging and materials functional and intentional.

Our Story
Etsy Beginnings
Layer and Groove began in 2026 as an Etsy shop created by collectors for collectors. We set out to make record dividers with a cleaner aesthetic and better function — and the response was incredible, with more than 1,800 dividers finding homes in the first six months.
